Films & Stories

We are making and collecting people's stories about Cardiff using digital media, films and audio. Here are some of our latest.

Listen to a story from Mary Clarke of Rhiwbina Garden Village. Mary has lived in Rhiwbina for over 50 years and her father also worked there.

Watch our mini movie about piecing The Cardiff Story together.

A short introduction to the new Cardiff Story museum, opening late 2010. Museum Officer Victoria Rogers and Collections Curator Bethan Parry explain what the Museum is all about.

This audio story is all about an area of Cardiff called Rhiwbina Garden Village, as told by a long-time resident.
The story is also linked to an object donated to the museum. It's a cast iron paper embosser and it is on display at the museum right now.

Happy Days

A Cracking Day out - Roger Evans grew up in Ystrad Mynach in the Rhymney Valley, less than 15 miles away from Cardiff. Roger remembers a special day out to Roath Park, travelling down on the train with his best friend. This digital story was created by Roger with the Cardiff Story.”
